How do I create, submit and close an RFI?

  1. Open Requests for information and select your project.
  2. Choose New RFI. Enter the title, question, discipline, priority, due date and internal or external assignee. Save the draft to obtain its permanent number.
  3. Link question evidence and submit. The assigned colleague can start review; an authorized project contributor can record an answer received outside TCC and identify the respondent.
  4. An administrator closes an answered request. The asker or administrator can reopen with clarification; earlier answers remain in history. Administrators can reject with a reason or void without deleting.

Draft edits belong to the asker or administrator. Read-only users can inspect accessible records. Refresh after a concurrent change; retry an uncertain draft save using the same draft. Cost and schedule impacts are indicative, not budget approval.

Next: Link evidence, review email, or prepare a work order.
