New Project Checklist
Follow this order. Each step unlocks the next — skipping ahead leaves dropdowns empty.
Phase 1: Company Master Data (one-time)
- Workers – Admin → Workers. Add workforce with name, trade, hourly rates. Or bulk-import from Excel.
- Equipment – Admin → Equipment. Add machines with name, type, hourly rate.
- Materials – Admin → Materials. Build catalog with units and categories.
- Subcontractors – Admin → Subcontractors. Add vendor companies.
Tip: Use Admin → Import Data to bulk-import from Excel or CSV. TCC uses AI to auto-map your columns.
Phase 2: Create the Project
Admin → Projects or onboarding wizard. Enter project number, name, status, budget.
Phase 3: Project-Specific Configuration
- Activity Codes – Add with Planned Quantity and Base Price for budget tracking. Or 'Copy from Master'.
- Payment Items – Contract line items with unit prices.
- CWPs – Scope packages with planned quantities and budget hours.
- Crews – Group workers + equipment for one-click bulk entry.
Phase 4: Assign Users
Admin → Tenant Users. Invite foremen, superintendents, managers with appropriate roles.
Phase 5: Verify Before Go-Live
- Open Data Entry, confirm all dropdowns are populated
- Do a test entry on each tab
- Commit a test report to verify end-to-end
Common mistake: Jumping to data entry without activity codes. Foremen can't log entries without them.
