Common Setup Mistakes

1. No activity codes before data entry – Most common blocker. Set these up first.
2. Activity codes without budgets – Without planned_qty and base_price, no cost variance tracking.
3. Not importing — adding one by one – 200 workers manually takes hours. Excel import takes minutes.
4. Skipping production entries – No production = no productivity signal, no unit cost.
5. Everyone gets admin role – Use the hierarchy: foremen enter, superintendents review, admins configure.
6. Not creating crews – If the same 6 workers appear daily, a crew saves significant time.
7. Inconsistent activity codes – Standardize codes before go-live. Train foremen on which code to use.
